Do not fabricate data, sources, credentials, achievements or relationships. Distinguish observation from interpretation and a proposed explanation from a demonstrated result. When evidence is incomplete or disputed, describe the uncertainty rather than selecting only information that supports your preference.

If you discover an error in your contribution, explain what changed and why. If challenging another contribution, focus on the claim and the evidence, not assumptions about the person who made it.

Credit authors, creators and collaborators. A publicly accessible paper, image, dataset or model is not automatically licensed for unrestricted reuse. Check the license, citation requirements and permissions before republishing or adapting material.

Describe your own contribution accurately in a portfolio or proposal. Shared work should not be presented as an individual achievement, and someone’s name or affiliation should not imply endorsement without their permission.

Participation should welcome different backgrounds and levels of expertise. Explain terms where possible, disagree constructively and avoid harassment, discriminatory conduct or the exposure of someone else’s personal information.

Educational material is not personal medical, legal or financial advice. Activities involving physical equipment, hazardous materials, children or sensitive data require appropriate supervision and safeguards; a general science page cannot supply those approvals.

Share only material you have the right to disclose. Do not post passwords, private communications, identifiable participant records or confidential research. For generated or assisted content, check important claims against original sources and describe the assistance where it affects how the work should be understood.

An AI-generated summary is not a new experimental result, and a confident explanation is not proof. Keep source citations, limitations and human responsibility visible.

Use the contact form to identify a factual problem, an accessibility barrier or a conduct concern. Include the public page address, the relevant statement and a concise description of the requested correction.

Do not send sensitive evidence through the general form before an appropriate handling arrangement is confirmed. For urgent threats or emergencies, use the relevant local emergency or institutional channels rather than waiting for a website response.
