Participation, recognition and opportunity

SCIENCIBLE Women

Explore ways to support women’s participation in science, technology and creative work through purposeful contribution and an honest account of what is available.

Scope & availability

No confirmed cohort, award, scholarship or dedicated mentor-matching program is open through this page.

01

Start with the barrier and the goal

Support can involve access to learning, recognition of work, professional connection or practical constraints that limit participation. Identify the specific need rather than assuming everyone has the same experience.

A useful proposal names an outcome and the people it is intended to serve without reducing participants to a single identity.

02

Give credit and make work visible responsibly

A portfolio or a source-led story can explain a contribution and the expertise behind it. Check permission before sharing someone’s biography, image or experience.

Avoid presenting representation statistics or success stories without evidence. Recognition should be accurate, consent-based and clear about who did the work.

03

Set safe boundaries for support

Mentorship, group discussion and institutional programs need scope, consent and a route for concerns. Do not treat a directory entry or a public profile as permission for private contact.

Sensitive workplace or personal experiences should not be sent through a general public-facing inquiry without an appropriate handling arrangement.

04

Propose a focused contribution

Describe an activity, audience, outcome and resources needed. Explain relevant experience, accessibility considerations and how the activity would avoid unsupported promises.

Use Contact to discuss participation. An inquiry does not establish a funded program, a mentoring appointment or a guaranteed opportunity.
