A thoughtful start for curious minds
Young Intellectuals
Support younger learners in asking questions, exploring evidence and making things, with appropriate adult involvement and realistic expectations.
Scope & availability
No supervised youth cohort, scholarship, private messaging service or accredited youth program is offered through this page.
Begin with curiosity and age-appropriate questions
Choose a familiar observation and ask what might explain it. Help the learner distinguish what they can see from what they assume. Small questions can introduce measurement, comparison and evidence without unnecessary jargon.
The goal is understanding and confidence, not pressure to claim a discovery or build a professional profile.
Choose safe activities and resources
Use resources appropriate to age, ability and available supervision. Physical experiments, tools, online interaction and sharing images each require their own safeguards.
The KIDS channel includes science and creative exploration, but a page or kit description does not replace adult assessment of safety and suitability.
Protect identity and participation
Avoid publishing a child’s private contact information, location, school schedule or identifying records. A parent, guardian or responsible institution should evaluate permissions and participation arrangements.
Do not assume that a proposed community program provides supervision or that an unverified adult profile is a suitable mentor.
Plan a learning activity with an adult
Define a question, simple output, required materials and how understanding will be checked. Include an alternative for learners who cannot use a device or material.
An adult organizer can use Contact to discuss a proposal. No registration, placement or safeguarding service is implied by sending an inquiry.
