The SCIENCIBLE student community

SCIENCIBLE campus & school chapters

SCIENCIBLE operates on campuses and in high schools as a science and technology student organization. This route is for those official SCIENCIBLE expressions and their student leaders—not for every organization that uses the platform.

Scope & availability

Dedicated chapter accounts, leader appointment and handover tools are in development. Existing leaders can contact SCIENCIBLE to discuss their chapter and access requirements; prospective organizers can propose a chapter.

01

Choose the official chapter route

An official chapter brings the SCIENCIBLE mission into a particular campus or high-school community through science, technology, learning and participation. A chapter’s identity should clearly name its host institution while preserving its connection to SCIENCIBLE.

An independent student club, university department or institution using SCIENCIBLE is not automatically a chapter. Those organizations retain their own names and use the Organizations route. The two routes can coexist at one institution without competing for the same account.

02

Authority comes before an official designation

The proposed onboarding flow is request, review, chapter authorization and appointment of leaders. A public chapter designation should appear only after SCIENCIBLE confirms it, with any required school or university recognition handled separately.

The requested host institution should be checked for an existing chapter before another is created. Duplicate requests should go to review rather than silently creating competing official chapters. School acknowledgment alone should not appoint a SCIENCIBLE leader, and a personal signup should never confer that authority.

03

Leadership belongs to people; the chapter persists

Each leader should use a personal account with a time-bound chapter role. The planned roles are chapter lead, officer, member and adviser, with platform coordinators managing authorization rather than using shared chapter passwords.

A change of student leadership should transfer responsibilities while keeping the chapter’s permitted records and history. Outgoing roles must be revoked after handover, and disputes or lost access need a review route. A graduating leader should retain their personal account without keeping chapter administration rights.

04

Keep activities accessible and appropriately supervised

Chapters should be able to organize learning projects, science discussions, outreach and events with clear ownership and consent. Participation must not require a particular degree, background or confidence with technical language. Offer clear explanations and accessible alternatives.

High-school chapters require an authorized adult adviser and appropriate school, guardian and safeguarding arrangements. Private student information should remain restricted, and public chapter pages must not expose membership lists, personal contacts or student schedules. These safeguards must precede enabling school account administration.

05

Tell us which situation applies

An existing SCIENCIBLE leader can identify the school or campus, their role and the access they need. A new organizer can propose a chapter and a manageable first activity. An independent student organization should use its own organization inquiry instead.

Use the contact route to begin this review. It is an inquiry, not immediate chapter creation or leader approval. Do not send member rosters or identity documents through the general form.
