01

Start with a question worth discussing

A focused conversation is easier to follow than an unstructured survey of an entire field. Identify what listeners should understand by the end and which background concepts need explanation.

Ask a guest to explain their own expertise and contribution rather than treating credentials as a substitute for evidence.

02

Keep the conversation scientifically grounded

Prepare sources, ask about methods and invite clarification when a claim is broader than the evidence. Explain when a statement is a personal view, a preliminary result or an established finding.

Avoid turning an interesting discussion into individualized medical, financial or legal advice.

03

Plan for access and consent

A useful episode should have an accurate description, speaker identification and an accessible text alternative where possible. Obtain recording and publication consent, and agree how edits and sensitive topics will be handled.

Music, clips and quotations require appropriate rights. A guest’s participation must not imply their employer’s endorsement without authorization.

04

Propose a topic or guest

Describe the audience, central question, proposed guest, relevant expertise and supporting sources. Explain why an audio conversation would add value beyond a written summary.

Use Contact for a proposal. Sending a name or topic does not book a recording, create a commission or guarantee publication.
