Journals & Papers

Understand publication types, examine source records and follow evidence back to the work that produced it.

Scope & availability

SCIENCIBLE’s current research lookup is a discovery service, not a journal publisher, manuscript submission system or peer-review certification.

01

Know what kind of paper you are reading

Primary studies, reviews, protocols, editorials and preprints have different purposes. A review can map a literature without producing a new experiment; a protocol describes planned methods rather than final results.

Use the source’s document-type label as a starting point and inspect the work itself when the distinction matters.

02

Examine methods before using conclusions

Identify the research question, design, data, analysis and limitations. Ask whether the reported evidence supports the conclusion and whether the findings transfer to the setting you care about.

Peer review is one form of scrutiny, not a guarantee that a result is correct, complete or appropriate for every use.

03

Follow versions and citations

Preprints can differ from later journal articles. Check dates, identifiers and correction notices before treating two records as the same account. Keep the source link and version with your citation.

Citation copying supports attribution, but you should review formatting and completeness for the requirements of your own publication or institution.

04

Respect rights and publication responsibilities

Check full-text access, licensing and restrictions on figures or data. A discoverable record is not permission to republish the work.

If you want to publish your own research, use an appropriate publisher’s official submission route and institutional guidance. SCIENCIBLE does not claim to accept manuscripts or arrange peer review through this page.
